Terms of Service

These terms describe how accounts, subscriptions, and content work on the platform. Sections marked in review require legal sign-off before they take effect.

Last updated: August 2026

This page is maintained by Progressive Literacy Model to answer common questions about how the platform works. It describes current product behavior. It is not an independent audit, a certification, or legal advice.

4 sections on this page are still in review. Those sections show what has to be verified before anything is published as policy. Nothing marked in review should be relied on as a commitment.

Accounts

An account may be created by an adult — an educator, a parent or home reader, or an independent adult reader — or issued to a student by a connected teacher, school, or guardian. Students join with a class code or invitation rather than creating an unconnected account.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for activity under your account.

Acceptable use

Use the platform for reading practice, coaching, and instructional purposes. Do not upload recordings of people who have not agreed to be recorded, attempt to access other accounts, or resell access to the platform.

Your content

Recordings, notes, and scorecards belong to the account holder or the school that created them. We use them to operate the features you have enabled — for example storing a recording so a teacher can review and score it.

Subscriptions, billing, renewal, and refunds

Pending review — not yet a published policy statement

This section is intentionally unanswered. It will be completed once the following have been confirmed by the business owner or legal reviewer:

  • Confirmed plan prices, billing intervals, and trial terms.
  • Renewal and cancellation mechanics, including notice periods.
  • Refund policy, if any.
  • Whether district agreements supersede these terms, and how.

Draft language (unapproved)

Paid plans are billed on the interval shown at checkout and renew until cancelled. School and district agreements are handled through a written agreement rather than self-service checkout.
